The “Black Lives Matter” movement has been ideal in bringing awareness to the fact that our lives are just as valuable as the lives of our counterparts. With that being said, There are a few things that I truly need to get off of my chest.

See this rant is for one reason, and one only. Whenever I post a picture, or anything, regarding how special or how amazing black women are OR how they deserve to be treated better.

There is always that ONE individual that LOVES to tell other people about how pretty your hair “used to be” when you were getting relaxers. With you sitting right there of course. 

I have never truly understood why skin color is used an excuse. Subconsciously, many people are prone to this type of thinking. Many use skin color as a reason or excuse for something.

Black women already have the “hater” stigma. People automatically assume that ALL black women don’t know HOW to compliment, encourage and uplift each other. That is a false statement. Not all women are like that.  Not all black women are like that. And black women are not the only ones …

(-_-), Seriously. Now before I start my rant. Let’s make something super clear. Nobody, I repeat, NOBODY says that you should have an 85 step regimen or a 6 hour wash session. NOBODY!!  However, you cannot expect for your hair to flourish if you are not taking the basic steps …

Personally I believe that their is beauty in ALL hair types. I am VERY proud of my hair type.  Like I always say, I am a TYPE FOUR KINKY COILY GIRL, AND I am quick to admit that.
