Humble Yourself.

Disclaimer: this post is not for the faint at heart. If you aren’t ready for a moment of truth and self reflection…Bow out slowly. Even though YOU might need to stay.

**I pray this message reaches and releases your heart from whatever the enemy may be using to hinder you. **

We all reach that point in our lives, where we reflect on our current standings. We tend to compare ourselves to those that are in our age range. Looking at everything they have done and accomplished or even just how they’re living and we feel start to feel inadequate like we came up short. Next, not only do we choose to blame God for our shortcomings; we decide to move with HIS guidance. Being worldly instead of faithful.  We start moving on our own. In our own way. Shutting our hearts off to him, and walking off His path. We get so big, bold and bad and we think that not only are we invincible.. But we are BIGGER than God and better off without HIM.

And that’s the problem. We aren’t.

God gave us free will. We have the choice to follow HIM and pursue HIS word, OR we can try to do our own thing and see where we end up. Playing Russian roulette with your life, because “you don’t need God.. Because You can do it by yourself… And if God was really looking out for you, you wouldn’t be where you are RIGHT now….” Right? Wrong….. You’re Blaming God along the way. Angry and upset with HIM. Full of rage and hate… But you were never in pursuit of HIM. You were moving on your own… And that’s not fair.

You are NOT bigger than GOD. In fact, Not only is GOD bigger than YOU, HE’s bigger than any obstacle you could ever face. Period. What happens to the child that never listens? He gets chastised, he gets in trouble and he may even get punished. So if God is the father and you are his child. You don’t think that he will take from you all of the things you hold dear to your heart? You don’t think God will take from you what you don’t deserve? Right off the tips of your fingers, just to prove to you that you NEED him in order to move in constant peace?

You just need to humble yourself, and apologize. You can’t continue to live your life the way you have been. Destroying yourself. Pleasing the world, giving every ounce of you to any and everything under the sun that is undeserving. Yet, you’re too busy to pray. You can’t thank God for what he’s done for you today. You can’t thank HIM for what HE’S protected you from. You can’t ask HIM for FORGIVENESS…

You can’t humble yourself enough to turn around and see that no matter how far off the path God has laid out for you, you’ve gotten. HE’S standing right behind you ready to walk you back where you belong. No it’s not easy. You’re going to be uncomfortable. And some of the worldly people on your life are going to abandon you.. And that’s fine. Taste what God has in store for you. Give yourself the satisfaction of having peace. Prepare yourself for your blessings by understand HIS purpose for your life. You weren’t brought here to suffer or fail. You were made in HIS image to succeed and be great….

See, God has a way of showing up and showing out. When you least expect it. HE will break you into the smallest of pieces until you give in. Until you open even the smallest corner of your heart for HIM. He can change your life. HE can make it all worth while. It’s okay to say “God, I messed up.. Please help me”. He won’t laugh at you. You won’t be judged.. Take the chance. Turn around. And GIVE yourself the opportunity to fill yourself up spiritually.

You have not been forgotten. God sees you. I see you. And I will always pray for you.

I pray that this message reaches you well. And that God will continue to work on YOU and remake you in HIS image. You are worthy of HIS blessings. You deserve to live in perfect peace. Open your heart & accept him. It’s okay to humble yourself. you deserve to be free.

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.” – James 4:7-10
