Pretty Kinky Naturals

I had the pleasure of reviewing the product line, Pretty Kinky Naturals, including the chocolate, honey, & Mudd co-wash truffles (not photoed above).

Pretty Kinky Naturals, is an amazing natural and organic line that gives you EVERYTHING you have been looking for.

Scents

All of the products have their individual, respective scents. None of them are overbearing or strong. They are all subtle but leave your hair smelling wonderful. I hate overbearing scents, so this product line was perfect.

The Coco-Tea Shampoo

I loved this shampoo. It’s one of the few that I have used that did not dry my hair out. My scalp felt extra clean with one use, and my hair remained soft. It removed the product build up and my curls remained springy and defined. My hair didn’t shed a lot and it didn’t tangle. This shampoo is gentle enough to be used every week without worrying about stripping my hair of moisture. My hair didn’t frizz much, after using this shampoo. I was able to wash and go, using this shampoo without conditioner and just the rosemary oil as a sealant and my curls held up all day.

Coco-Cado Deep Conditioner

This deep conditioner was amazing. I used it directly after the shampoo and left it in for the recommended time. I used this on my hair after it was dyed “cool soft black”. I wasn’t sure if the elasticity in my hair would completely return. This deep conditioner softened my hair, and brought my coils back and returned my shrinkage. My hair felt super soft and it had a great shine to it. And it smelled great.
I used this every week for a month and I could see the improvements in my hair.

Revitalizing Daily Spritz

I used this spray alone, on a two day old flat twist out. I used this spritz to dampen my hair and then detangled it in sections. I flat twisted my hair, (the night before Christmas Eve) and when I removed the flat twist, it came out amazing! My hair was super soft and the definition that my hair had Christmas Eve was amazing. I had my curly fro going and it was great.

I have also used this product before the HoneyShea Twist-n-Curl Cream. My hair had been air dried without any product (I get lazy sometimes too lol). I went out and came back home with my hair like that. My curl pattern was dried up and that’s almost impossible to detangle without cowashing it or wetting my hair all the way through in the shower. I used the spritz on small sections and detangled each section before applying the Twist-n-Curl cream. I was able to comb through my dried up curls with ease. This has NEVER happened. lol I can admit that, I have broken a few combs trying to use water to detangle over dried hair. And i did all of this with little shedding.

I use this product all of the time. It is definitely a staple.

This also has a very “happy” lemongrass scent. Which I love, it’s like a breath of fresh air in a bottle. lol

HoneyShea Twist -n-Curl Cream

Bless the hands that created this product. No exaggeration. I have come across many products on this natural hair journey of mine. I get pretty good definition from many products that I have used. But this, had my flat twist outs looking amazing. Every piece of my hair curled perfectly. Including my ends, (which were looking like they were in need of a trim). This product worked great. It did a few things that I honestly did not expect from a “definer”.

• My hair was super defined. Down to every last curl. Which was a first.
• My hair was super soft for a few days at a time.
• My newly dyed black hair was very shiny.
• My hair retained moisture for  a few days at at time. Which was a first time for me.
• I was able to spritz my hair with the revitalizing spritz and reactivate the product and flat twist it all over again between washes. My hair stayed very well defined and moisturized.

This product is one that I would recommend to anyone that asks, including my own family. I love this twist and curl cream. It’s in my top 3.

Rosemary Plus Growth Oil

I love this oil. My hair was super soft and moisturized. I mostly used this  for my nightly scalp massages. My roots were very soft and my hair shined after using this oil after washing my hair.  My curl definition was on point for my wash and gos. My hair grew an inch and a half, using it for a month. This oil was great. I will be adding this product to my oil rotation. I will be trying a hot oil treatment with this product.

Chocolate, Honey & Mudd Co-Wash Truffles

I had to save this for last. This was messy but fun. I have never done a hair mudd mask before.  This one is made of  Moroccan Rhassoul Clay.  It comes in this really cute “candy wrapper” and it smells great. After mixing this with warm water. and watching it dissolve into a paste, I started to apply it to my hair. This mudd co-wash improved my definition, the overall health of my hair, and added shine and moisture. I didn’t even have to do anything to my hair afterwards. I massaged it into my scalp before washing it out and everything was squeaky clean. This definitely doubles as a co-wash and not just a treatment. I didn’t need to wash my hair with anything afterwards, but I did deep condition it to receive maximum benefits.

All of the ingredients are certified organic products. I have a very sensitive scalp, and I never broke out in hives, never had any flakes or itching.  It kept my scalp hydrated and flake free. My scalp felt rejuvenated and healthy. My ends went from split, dry & damaged ends to healthier, well moisturized, ends that were easier to style and maintain.

Over all, I am in love with this product line. I will continue to be a loyal user and supporter.
