Justice for Who?

If you’re sensitive and blinded, this post isn’t for you. Fair Warning!!

So, I’ve been following everything that’s been happening in the black community. Including all of the killings of unarmed young black men. And to be honest I am outraged. On many different levels, and even angrier hearing blacks talk about how these situations aren’t that big of a deal, and how the cartoon channel throwbacks were more important. (-_-)

Most of you know that I am VERY outspoken and I use my platform very well… and with good reason.

So here’s why I feel some type of way.

As I stated on Instagram, I’m a mother before anything. And I am a mother to a young black boy that has to grow up in this country. Seeing a lot of the photos from Ferguson, and the peaceful turned violent protest (on behalf of the police) is sickening.

Let’s be real, for two seconds. Those of you that feel that this situation isn’t a big deal & you’re black, I’m confused. When will you care? When will it apply to you? When you’re looking down the barrel of a gun after a day on the beach or when you’re watching someone you love bleed on the concrete and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it? Or when you’re watching your loved ones body get shoved into the back of an unmarked SUV when you know damn well the coroner is supposed to come and get the body? Or shooting someone 9 times and then handcuffing the body to try and get it in the back of your squad car? WTF!? And when they realize someone is filming then they play naive and stupid.

You should be pissed.

This isn’t the first time that police brutality has taken a life, and it damn sure won’t be the last if we can’t stand united. Watching these peaceful people shot at with rubber bullets, children tear gassed, crowds shot into. I’m disgusted. I’m disturbed. I’m disappointed.

Even though I live states away, I have watched the last few months devour our youth. It’s so unfortunate that our young men don’t feel valued or that they have to have a weapon to protect themselves. I shouldn’t have t fear for my son’s life every time he steps out of the house. I shouldn’t have to worry about where my son lives. Nor should be a police target.

“Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— both are detestable to the LORD. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭17‬:‭15‬ NLT)”

All of these unarmed black men, shouldn’t be losing their lives.. No one should feel unprotected. I shouldn’t keep reading about all of these valued young people losing their lives and the excuse being that they “matched the description of a suspect in a robbery…”

Keep note that I have never said that it’s ALL police offers NOR did I say that it’s ALL whites. HOWEVER, the police need to be retrained and held accountable for their BS. The shouldn’t be “protected” out of fear of how others are going to react to them. They should NOT be hidden and kept a secret.. They deserve to face the consequences of their actions. And they should NOT be keeping these “incidents” a secret either.. If it weren’t for social media, so many of these corrupted officials would be getting away with murder. LITERALLY!!!

The worst part of all of this is when an anonymous white woman’s “hear say” is more valuable and trusted than THREE AUTOPSIES!! How in the hell is she more credible than THREE AUTOPSIES!!! And she’s speaking on behalf of someone who KNOWS the officer’s girlfriend.. What?? (-_-)… I have NEVER been so disgusted and disappointed in my life. These people have been MURDERED. PERIOD. All because of someone’s preconceived “all black men are dangerous and need to be stopped” theory.

ugghhhh… I just can’t live my life like this. Something needs to change in this world. Especially in this good old country of ours. (-_-).

Be the change you want to see in the world. It all starts with you…. & me.. and everyone else within arms reach…

“liberty & justice for all…” all of who exactly? I haven’t seen a bit of it for anyone that looks like me…..
